Phoenix Hope International (PHI) began in 2010 with a simple affirmation that no child should enslaved to the cruel realities of extreme poverty. Equally important to our foundation is the belief the greatest barrier of our time to eradicating poverty and its antecedents is not a lack of financial resources or workable solutions, but our own collective ambivalence to its existence.
PHI works with government agencies, non governmental organizations, and individual communities to identify and address the major determinants of extreme poverty. Our goal is to help the communities in which we work to develop and implement programs with clear objectives and targets that reduce poverty, improve health, and ensure quality education for all. In general PHI acts as a community partner through the provision of funding and technical guidance for a variety of projects including water, hygiene and sanitation improvements, expansion of preventive and acute health care services, and investment in economic and educational opportunities in the community.
